MANIFESTO OF THE FILIPINO PEOPLE The Right Call: MARCOS RESIGN NOW!

The time of excuses is over. The Filipino people cannot remain silent while the very lifeblood of the nation is drained by corruption. Billions of pesos—taken from flood control projects, siphoned through budget insertions, pocketed by powerful officials—have vanished. What remains is a country broken, a government hollow, and a people betrayed.

Speaker Martin Romualdez’s resignation as House Speaker does not heal this wound. It is but a token gesture, meant to shield the bigger crime. He must resign as Congressman of his District. His assets must be frozen, his wealth examined, his movements restricted by a hold-departure order. The Senators and Congressmen who joined in this grand betrayal must be compelled to return what they have stolen to the national coffers.

This is not simply a lapse of leadership—it is the collapse of governance itself. The so-called Independent Commission of Inquiry is a farce. Like the Agrava Commission under the Marcos dictatorship, it will circle endlessly but never touch the highest lines of accountability.

The reckoning cannot be postponed. The Armed Forces of the Philippines must no longer allow themselves to be an instrument of rot. Their sworn duty is to the people, not to a family or a clique of plunderers. A peaceful transition of power is the only path forward. Civil disobedience is justified, for silence is complicity.

We reject violence, but we will not accept tyranny. We will resist through courage, unity, and the strength of our collective voice.

And so we pray:

Almighty God, we lift to You our beloved country. Deliver our people from corruption, deception, and betrayal. Grant courage to those who stand for truth, wisdom to those who choose peace, and strength to every Filipino who refuses to bow to tyranny. Let justice flow like a river, until our land is healed and our children are free.#

This is the cry of a nation. Marcos must resign now.!
